What form will the next OED take?

The Oxford English Dictionary is being digitized.  Jessamyn West at librarian.net says it’s 28% complete, but does an OED e-book mean the end of the hard copy version? Oxford University Press told the New York Times:

No decision has yet been made on the format of the third edition…It is likely to be more than a decade before the full edition is published, and a decision on format will be taken at that point.

OED no longer “in print”?
