Harper Lee Lecture April 13th

HarperLee_2007Nov05Dr. Wayne Flynt, retired chairman of Auburn University’s History Department, will present a lecture Wednesday, April 13, at 6:00 p.m. in Room 109 of the Health Sciences Building. Dr. Flynt will lecture [and answer questions] on Alabama’s Pulitzer Prize winning author Harper Lee and her book “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Calhoun is honored to have Dr. Flynt stop by our campus while he is in route to Chattanooga for the 2011 Annual Fellowship of Southern Writers Conference where he will accept, on behalf of Harper Lee, the prestigious writers award for the now worldwide and highly acclaimed “To Kill a Mockingbird.” This is a wonderful opportunity for the College and the community. Faculty, please announce this event to your students or, even better, bring your students to the lecture. Everyone is welcome to attend.
