4,000 free eBooks

The Chronicle of Higher Education announced that The National Academies Press was making their entire catalog of PDF files available for free download.  The NAP is able to offer so many titles for free because their overhead costs have been greatly reduced due to staff cuts, outsourced printing, and the elimination of hard copy catalogs.
