There’s no denying the popularity and utility of e-books, but every medium has disadvantages as well as advantages. In the realm of digital publishing, most disadvantages arise from Digital Rights Management and the lack of a standardized cross-platform format. Rather than levelling the playing field for competing publishers, each e-reader vendor has chosen to build its own exclusive stadium.
