Library Journal reports that Google is collaborating with The British Library to digitize over 250,000 18th and 19th century texts and make them freely available for research purposes.
This project will include printed books, pamphlets and periodicals from 1700 to 1870…Once digitised, the content will be available for full text search, download and reading through Google Books…Any user will be able to copy, share and manipulate text for non-commercial purposes.
