Art on Display in Common Grounds Café

Visit the Common Grounds Café in September and view the art of Sheila Franklin and Elizabeth M. Hornish!

Elizabeth M. Hornish, a student of Kathryn Vaughn, has studied painting for over twenty years and in workshops that have taken her to Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Italy, and Ireland to paint with masters artists.

Sheila Franklin writes: “I grew up in the wide open spaces of Idaho. It seems all my life ‘people’ have tried to make me fit into a ‘small compact box’ neatly. Through my art, I have found myself back in time to the place where I am free—free of society, free of responsibilities, free to explore.

“Art is such a wonderful, creative expression of life. Don’t ever lose your true “inner child” in your journey of life. Thank you for taking a few minutes of your busy life and sharing a piece of mine. “

The works of both artists will be showing in the Common Grounds Café through September 2011.
