Calhoun’s Big Read

Calhoun’s Big Read book, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, has understandably been a very popular item at Calhoun’s libraries. Yesterday’s panel discussion covered a variety of topics broached by the book including patient rights, informed consent, and gene patenting as well as an attempt to understand motives in a historical context.

It’s not too late to read the book. Visit the library at either Calhoun campus to check it out or be added to the request list. If you already have a library card, you may place a request through the library’s catalog by signing in with your card number and the last four digits of your phone number.
